Whitelip is an online shop for tobacco-free nicotine pouches, also called white snus, with its warehouse in Jordbro near Stockholm, Sweden. A nicotine pouch is a small pouch containing nicotine that is placed under the lip. The range covers more than 25 brands, including ZYN, VELO, LOOP, XQS, 77, ON!, ICEBERG and Kelly White.
Each product page states the nicotine per pouch (mg), nicotine content (mg/g), level on the Whitelip strength scale, flavour, format and number of pouches per can.
Nicotine pouches by strength
The Whitelip strength scale runs from 1 to 5 and is based on milligrams of nicotine per pouch: level 1 is 1-5 mg, level 2 is 6-10 mg, level 3 is 11-15 mg, level 4 is 16-29 mg and level 5 is 30 mg or more. Manufacturer labels, such as "strong" or dots on the can, cannot be compared between brands; mg per pouch can.
Nicotine pouches by flavour
The flavours are grouped as mint (including peppermint, spearmint and menthol), citrus, fruit and berries, coffee, licorice, vanilla and chili. The flavour is stated on each product page.
Nicotine pouch formats
The most common formats are slim, mini and large. The format describes the size of the pouch, not its strength, and dimensions vary between manufacturers. The number of pouches per can is stated on the product page.

What are nicotine pouches (white snus)?
Nicotine pouches, called white snus in Sweden, are small tobacco-free pouches containing nicotine that are placed under the lip. They contain no tobacco leaf. A pouch usually contains plant fibres, nicotine, water, flavourings, sweeteners and acidity regulators. The exact ingredients are listed on the can.
What is the difference between white snus and traditional snus?
Traditional snus contains tobacco; white snus does not. In Sweden they are therefore covered by different laws: snus by the Act on Tobacco and Similar Products (2018:2088) and white snus by the Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products (2022:1257). Both contain nicotine.
Are nicotine pouches legal in Sweden?
Yes. Tobacco-free nicotine pouches may be sold in Sweden to people aged 18 and over. The Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products (2022:1257) sets requirements including the age limit, a health warning on the packaging and notification of products to the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Rules differ between countries.
How strong is a nicotine pouch?
Strength is stated in milligrams of nicotine per pouch (mg/pouch), which is the amount of nicotine in one pouch. Milligrams per gram (mg/g) shows the concentration in the filling instead. Two products with the same mg/g can contain different amounts of nicotine per pouch if the pouches weigh different amounts: mg per pouch = mg/g × pouch weight in grams. At Whitelip, products are also placed on a strength scale from 1 to 5 by mg per pouch.
What pouch formats are there?
The most common formats are slim, mini and large, which is sometimes called regular. Slim is long and narrow, mini is the smallest and large is wider. The format says nothing about strength, and dimensions vary between manufacturers.
How many pouches are in a can?
It varies between products. Many cans contain 20 pouches, but some contain 24, for example. The number of pouches per can is stated on the product page.
How should nicotine pouches be stored?
Keep the pouches in their original can with the lid closed, away from heat, direct sunlight and damp, and out of reach of children and pets. Shelf life differs between products, so follow the date and storage instructions on the can. Put used pouches in general waste, not down the toilet.
How is age verified?
Nicotine products are sold only to people aged 18 and over. For purchases in Sweden, age is verified with BankID at checkout. At a PostNord service point the recipient shows ID, and for a parcel locker identification takes place in the PostNord app. Products are not handed over to anyone under 18.
